Ok so the first thing I thought of when I woke up this morning, was …OK I get to weigh myself! So I did and I lost over 6 pounds in first week!! Yes that is correct. I re-weighed myself three times to be sure.
So Id like to think this is truly a huge start of fast weight loss…but I am thinking this big jump has something to do with the fact that I have my menstrual cycle this week. (sorry guys) This start was not planned by design around my monthly schedule, because (as many of my friends know and are personally experiencing themselves) …that schedule is now annoyingly unpredictable with a few hot flashes mixed in to keep it interesting.
But the long and short of it is…I definitely lost weight…. over 6 pounds…but I think some of it is fluid retention/loss due to my cycle. I’LL TAKE IT. A good start!
I got to the beach at 7:30 AM this morning closed my eyes and listened to the waves. A great way to start off the day. Then I was mindful of my caloric intake, but treated myself to a killer frittata. I made it with black beans, shallots and red peppers……topped it off with a few tablespoons of light sour cream and salsa Verde. YUM. A nice treat for a week well done.
